Gulf State Aviation, LLC was founded by Wayne Schmitz. Wayne received his initial helicopter license in 1985 and has been involved in the aviation industry ever since. For over 22 years, Wayne was the Vice President & General Manager of a large, U.S based helicopter company that conducted flight operations throughout the United States with a diverse fleet of nearly 50 aircraft. During that time, Wayne was directly involved in every facet of the company, including aircraft operations and maintenance, multi-million dollar contract negotiations, financing, insurance, aviation regulations, and of course aircraft sales.
Over the years, Wayne has been part of over 100 aircraft transactions and in the process has built a worldwide network of business associates. These relationships are based on hard work, trust, honesty, and integrity.
